ART
Check out this Animoto on: Art in Tanzania
The 5th grade drew the pictures of North American animals and send them with a Village Life (connected with UC) brigade that went to Tanzania last October. We also includes a "book" of photos of the students, the Middle School, and North American animals to supplement our drawings. We found out that they use the schools in the villages as Medical clinics when they go so no classes meet during that time. So there was no real exchange, it was more of a gift! There is no electric or mail service readily available and the next trip is in June, so the pen pal idea doesn't work so well. Village Life has a 3 fold approach-medical (including providing mosquito nets), education, and water purification. Many projects are done in connection with UC classes, and obviously, medical students/drs. For information contact: [email protected]
